Civilization in Your Pocket: Sid Meier's Civilization VII Coming to iPhone and Other Apple Devices
The project will be exclusive to Apple Arcade, so there's no need to expect a quick release for Android.
The strategy game Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is preparing to launch on new platforms. Starting February 5, the game will be available to Apple Arcade subscribers in a special Arcade Edition, which can be launched on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The mobile version generally replicates the PC release, but with some caveats. Players will still have to lead one of the states, guide it through the ages, and make key strategic decisions that affect the course of history.
However, the mobile version will feature touch controls, but will lack multiplayer and additional DLC content at launch. There are also technical limitations: only small maps will be available on devices with less than 8 GB of RAM — large scenarios will only run on flagship models.
Since Civilization VII is being released as an Apple Arcade exclusive, there is no talk of a release on Android. In addition, it will not be possible to purchase the game separately — access to it will only be possible with a subscription to the service.
