The release of the cross-platform action RPG in the spirit of Genshin Impact is now scheduled for March.
Netmarble has announced the postponement of the global release of The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. The cross-platform action RPG based on the manga by Nakaba Suzuki will not be released at the end of January, as previously planned, but in March 2026. The reason for the delay is the results of testing.
According to the developers, testers pointed out problems in three key areas — controls, combat system, and interface. Players complained about unresponsive controls, slow pace of battles, and an overloaded menu. Netmarble noted that some of the comments can be fixed quickly, but many require complex improvements, which is why the release was decided to be postponed.
At the same time, the studio emphasizes that the visual style, plot, and basic mechanics were positively received by testers.
«We sincerely apologize for the postponement and thank everyone who participated in the testing. The extra time will allow us to bring the game to a higher level of quality».
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is positioned as a large-scale adventure gacha in the universe of "The Seven Deadly Sins", inspired by Genshin Impact. The action will unfold on the continent of Britannia: players will find free exploration of the world, battles with monsters, fishing, cooking, and the ability to switch between heroes on the fly.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will be released simultaneously on iOS, Android, PC, and PlayStation 5. Pre-registration is already open in the App Store, Google Play, and on the official website of the project, and the game can be added to the wishlist on Steam. The developers have not yet announced the exact release date.
