His name was not on the cast list presented during the official broadcast in March 2025, which immediately sparked rumors about the possible absence of Star-Lord in the next phase of the cinematic universe.
Now, Pratt has commented on the situation for the first time in his characteristic manner. On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor talked about his meeting with the Pope, after which the host asked if he had informed the pontiff about his participation in \"Avengers: Doctor Doom.\" Pratt replied that he would have told him if he had been asked, but refused to answer Kimmel because he is "not the Pope."
In the same conversation, the actor commented on the absence of his name in the cast list:
"I don't know! It seems like it was somewhere far away… Maybe that part was just cut off. I don't know what happened. I'm sure it was there."
Thus, Pratt again neither confirmed nor denied his participation in the upcoming crossover.
