1C Game Studios continues to talk about "Korea. IL-2 Series". This is an air simulator, but an important part of the game is what happens on the ground.
In the new diary, the developers of "Korea. IL-2 Series" again invite players to dive to the ground to examine the airfields:
Airfields have ceased to be flat and have acquired some relief, which gives a completely new feeling during takeoff, landing, taxiing, as we have already mentioned.
In "IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles", the surface of the earth from the point of view of physics had three types (concrete, compacted soil, field), and in "Korea. IL-2 Series" the developers will present twice as many types:
A separate class was allocated to the surface with Marston (PSP) coating. Two gradations of unevenness were also added between the bumpy "wild" field and the compacted soil - land without large irregularities in the adjacent territories of airfields and the grassy surface of the field airfield. This creates a variety of situations when the aircraft rolls off the taxiways, as well as takeoff and landing from different airfields.
The increased detail of textures allowed developers to better convey various aspects of how the airbase area is arranged, the appearance of the airfield became generally more "lively" and realistic:
Thus, taxiways and runways, the boundaries of concrete surfaces with soil are framed in more detail. New technologies allow you to make earthen caponiers look very natural.
In "Korea. IL-2 Series" implemented the shutdown of lighting in case of damage to the corresponding sections of airfield lights or city blocks:
