The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon Makes a Strong Debut - Initial Steam Numbers
The Legend of Heroes has recently become one of the key series for Nihon Falcom. This is not surprising: the franchise is gradually moving beyond the niche genre and strengthening its position in jRPG.
Interest in the Trails series is growing, but the entry barrier remains high. Not everyone can be convinced to start with another part of the large-scale saga that the studio has been developing for more than a decade. Therefore, the starting figures for Trails beyond the Horizon are noticeably lower than those of the remake of the first Trails in the Sky, which seems logical.
Nevertheless, Nihon Falcom has reason for optimism. On Steam, the number of concurrent players reached almost 2,675 — more than 800 people higher than the figures for Trails through Daybreak II, released last year. It is more difficult to compare the new game with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter: the remake of the classic gathered almost 5,000 players.
