The VK Play platform revealed how players spent the January 2026 holidays and which projects attracted the most attention.
Women played more intensely than men — an average of 146 minutes per day versus 140. At the same time, tastes diverged radically.
The female audience spent time in MMOs and competitive games: «Пара Па: Город танцев», LOST ARK, «Аллоды Онлайн», Revelation, and Armored Warface.
Men preferred more atmospheric and unhurried projects: «Зимняя Хижина», the SPACERIFT: Arcanum System space simulator, and the post-apocalyptic shooter Hail to the Rainbow.
The most active players were people aged 35 to 44 years — 50.8% of the total playing time on the platform. This is followed by 25–34 years (22.7%), while young people aged 18–24 years accounted for only 6.6%.
The most popular genres were: action (63.2%), MMO (34.1%) and simulators (1.1%).
