Free Weekend and Co-op Helped No Rest for the Wicked Set a New Online Record on Steam
Moon Studios' promotions and the launch of co-op mode attracted a new audience to the game.
The role-playing action game No Rest for the Wicked is experiencing a new surge in popularity. After the release of the update with a four-player co-op mode and the start of the free weekend, the game set a new online record on Steam — 53,568 concurrent players.
For comparison, the previous maximum was recorded in April 2024, at the start of early access, and amounted to just over 36 thousand users. This time, the increase in interest was ensured by several factors at once: the possibility of cooperative passage, free access until January 26, and a 40% discount valid until February 5. In the Russian region, the game can be purchased for 1020 rubles.
As a result, No Rest for the Wicked has once again entered the top ten most popular Steam projects. The current user rating of the game remains at 79% positive reviews, and total sales have already exceeded one million copies.
Moon Studios, known for the Ori dilogy, continues to actively develop the project and plans to expand the content in the coming months. The final version of No Rest for the Wicked will be released not only on PC, but also on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. The full release date has not yet been announced.
