New Dragon Ball Super Anime Announced: The Galactic Patrol and Dragon Ball Super: Beerus
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Super returns with two projects.
At the Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri festival held in Japan, Toei Animation announced the launch of two new anime projects based on the Dragon Ball Super universe.
The first of these will be Dragon Ball Super: Beerus — a remake of the first story arc of Dragon Ball Super. The creators promise updated animation, additional scenes, and a more accurate adherence to the original source material. The project is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2026. Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol will be a direct sequel to Dragon Ball Super and will adapt the Moro arc (from chapters 42 to 67 of Akira Toriyama's original manga). Toei Animation is handling the production, and Akio Iyoku is the executive producer of the project. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027. There is no full trailer for the project yet.
