Bethesda working on Starfield 2.0 and a PS5 version - Informant
According to new data, Bethesda is preparing a large-scale return of its space odyssey.
This was reported by Matty from the "Defining Duke" podcast, who saw the game behind closed doors. According to him, a project called Starfield 2.0 really exists. The developers are allegedly focusing on an update at the level of Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 — an update that changed the perception of the CD Projekt RED game by reworking basic mechanics and adding new systems.
The update should focus on a deep revision of key elements and serious improvements to the graphics engine. The main task is to refine the exploration system and procedural generation of worlds, which many players consider monotonous in their current form. It is assumed that the changes will be released along with the next major story addition. This explains the long pause in the release of small patches after the release of Shattered Space.
In parallel, a version for PS5 continues to be discussed behind the scenes. Such a reboot, eliminating the main problems of the game, would be a suitable moment for release on the Sony platform and would actually give Bethesda a "second release" for a new audience.
Some in the community doubt that the procedural basis of Starfield can be corrected without reworking the project from scratch, but the developers' prolonged silence indicates work on something more than a regular update.
