The creators of the vampire action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker recently held a Q&A session in which they talked about the gameplay features and world of the game.
The main character will be able to wear different types of armor, but there will be no helmets. The game world is open and after completing the prologue, you can go explore various locations and biomes (there will be not only urban areas, but also forests, swamps, mountains).
If you don't manage to save your family in 30 days and nights, the game will not end. Time will continue to work according to the same logic (shifting when certain decisions are made), only the conditions will change.
The developers did not spoil whether the protagonist will be able to side with the vampire rulers of the region, but noted that players "can try".
During his adventures, the player will be able to encounter not only ordinary vampires and undead inhabiting ancient ruins. There will also be "murohni" (the result of an "unsuccessful" transformation into a vampire) and kobolds in underground mines; mountain dwellers "uriashi", likho, dog-heads and more.
In battle, you can use attack and defense with a strictly specified direction or their omni-version — such actions will take more stamina, but you don't have to think about the direction.
The developers clarified: garlic will not help in the fight against vampires — it does not affect them in any way.
Initially, the game was planned to be the size of the Blood and Wine DLC for The Witcher 3, but in the end the game became bigger.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is expected to be released in 2026, you can add the game to your wishlist on Steam via the following link.
