After a wave of complaints about the demo version, RGG Studio is preparing an update for the release of the Yakuza 3 remake.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has confirmed that the Yakuza Kiwami 3 remake will receive a day-one patch. The update is intended to fix visual shortcomings and other issues that players noticed in the demo version.
In the published statement, the developers said that update version 1.11 will become available on release day and will "address lighting issues and other quality concerns throughout the game." The studio separately emphasized that the current state of the demo does not reflect the project's final quality.
The release of Yakuza Kiwami 3 is scheduled for February 12, 2026. Earlier, the demo version on Steam received mostly negative reviews: users criticized the lighting, optimization, and the overall feeling of a "remaster of a remaster." An additional wave of dissatisfaction was also caused by rumors about changes to the plot and the fates of certain characters compared with the original.
