The note contains spoilers for the eighth episode of the second season of the Fallout series.
The producers of the Fallout series commented on the post-credits scene of the second season and confirmed that it is directly connected to the events of a future continuation.
In the final episode, viewers are once again shown Elder Cleric Quintus, who meets with scribe Dane. The latter hands Quintus the blueprints for the giant combat robot Liberty Prime Alpha, well known to longtime fans of the series. Quintus intends to take the name "Destroyer," making it clear that he plans to achieve his goals through forceful means.
In an interview with Decider, showrunner Jonathan Nolan said that he and producer Todd Howard included the hint at Liberty Prime Alpha not merely as a reference. According to Nolan, the idea directly points to the further development of the plot, although he admits that bringing the giant robot to life will be a serious production challenge.
"It is always interesting when you have several strong storylines and need to decide what final touch to leave the viewer with. I, for one — and Todd, I think, agrees with me — really love giant robots. That prospect is both frightening and inspiring at the same time. We need to figure out how to realize all of this, but the very thought of Liberty Prime Alpha appearing on screen excites me greatly."
Todd Howard, in turn, added that the Fallout series had become an excellent opportunity to see how Nolan, known for his love of practical sets, would tackle building a giant robot. In response, the showrunner joked that they would still figure out "which of them would put it in his backyard."
In May 2025, the Fallout series was renewed for a third season — seven months before the premiere of the second. According to available information, filming of the continuation will begin in May 2026.
