Ron Perlman's brief appearance in the second season of Fallout may extend beyond a cameo.

Ron Perlman, who appeared in a brief cameo in the second season of the Fallout series, may get a much more prominent role in the show's continuation. This was revealed in an interview with The Direct by the project's showrunner and screenwriter, Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

In the second season, Perlman voiced a super mutant who appears in the sixth episode and saves the Ghoul when he is on the verge of death. Despite the scene lasting only a few seconds, the creators did not initially consider this character as a one-off appearance.

"I always thought of him as a very important character. We're still hoping that we have the opportunity to continue that story, and we like to hint at bigger wars and bigger conflicts in this world. At events that are happening, maybe not in the same region of the wasteland where our heroes are right now, but where the story may lead over time. So, even though he only appears in one scene this season, I hope viewers understand: in our view, he is a much more significant figure in this world."

The showrunner also touched on the possible expansion of the series' geography. According to her, the Brotherhood of Steel has the greatest ability to move around the wastelands, while the Commonwealth has the most advanced technologies. She noted that there are many Brotherhood chapters in the Fallout universe, each with its own culture and characteristics, and the authors are interested in exploring the possibility of showing them in future seasons.

Official release dates for the third season have not yet been announced.
