The film adaptation of the soccer manga and anime is timed to coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The creators of the manga and anime adaptation of Blue Lock have officially revealed the main cast of the film. The announcement was spread over twelve days: individual visuals with characters were published each day, and now the project team is fully formed.
The main roles in the film will be played by:

The plot of the film, as in the original, focuses on the young soccer player Yoichi Isagi. After the failure of the Japanese national team at the World Cup, the country's football association launches a radical experiment called Blue Lock. 300 young strikers are gathered in a closed training complex, where they will compete for the only place in the national team. Those who lose are forever deprived of the chance to represent the country at the world level.
The film is directed by Yusuke Taki, the script was written by Tetsuo Kamata, and the production is handled by CREDEUS studio, which previously worked on the live-action films "Kingdom" and "Golden Kamuy". The film is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2026 and is timed to coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
