Director Dan Trachtenberg has stated that he is not going to leave the \"Predator\" franchise, despite recently signing an exclusive deal with Paramount. Under its terms, the studio receives the priority right to first consider and buy his future projects.

In an interview with Screen Rant, the director explained that he continues to work on new ideas and sees the contract as an opportunity to combine original films with the development of the \"Predator\" franchise.

Journalists inquired about the direction he would like to move in the future. Trachtenberg admitted that he is thinking about what stories have not yet been told in the universe and what new entry point can be offered to viewers.

\"Now we have a cool story and characters that we would like to develop further. But is there something we haven't seen in the franchise yet? Or maybe in science fiction in general – something that could be just as cool and a fresh start?\"

Earlier, Trachtenberg spoke about his desire to shoot \"Prey 2\". At the same time, he also considered a sequel to \"Predator: Planet of Death\", focused on the line of Deckard and his mother. In addition, the finale of \"Predator: Killer of Killers\" left room for further development of events: the final scene showed frozen survivors on Yautja Prime – among them were Arnold Schwarzenegger's character from the 1987 film and Naru from \"Prey\".

Thus, the director has several directions for continuing the story, and the signed deal with Paramount, according to him, does not change his intentions to develop \"Predator\".
