In an interview with Screen Rant, the director explained that he continues to work on new ideas and sees the contract as an opportunity to combine original films with the development of the \"Predator\" franchise.
Journalists inquired about the direction he would like to move in the future. Trachtenberg admitted that he is thinking about what stories have not yet been told in the universe and what new entry point can be offered to viewers.
\"Now we have a cool story and characters that we would like to develop further. But is there something we haven't seen in the franchise yet? Or maybe in science fiction in general – something that could be just as cool and a fresh start?\"
Earlier, Trachtenberg spoke about his desire to shoot \"Prey 2\". At the same time, he also considered a sequel to \"Predator: Planet of Death\", focused on the line of Deckard and his mother.
