Recently, the developers of Fable presented a new trailer for the project. The creator of the original game also got acquainted with it.

Peter Molyneux, in a conversation with IGN, shared his impressions of what he saw — it moved him:

When I watched the Fable trailer, I just felt tears welling up. I understand that I may be criticized for this, but I am an emotional person and often cry. And at that moment, I was incredibly touched because I thought: what we created will live on. This world that we loved creating and that others loved has its own life. For me, the saddest thing would be to see it all fade away.

Molyneux praised the decision of the developers of the new Fable to make a reboot:

I think they were very smart to reboot Fable, rather than bear the burden of continuing the story. I liked seeing some of the references.

Nevertheless, the creator has a complaint — he did not like the atmosphere in the new Fable. In his opinion, the project now feels sterile and needs to add "dirt" to it:

You know, if we talk critically — and I think that's what you expect from me — then all of this has a bit of a sterile feel. However, they still have months of work ahead to add character [features] to the world and that very "dirtiness" that it should have. I never perceived Fable as something clean, with clear lines and strict forms. This world is more chaotic, more like old England — without straight lines, with curves, irregularities. All these huge buckles on belts, ridiculously large boots and hands — that's what its character is. So I would, perhaps foolishly and childishly, ask to add a little more of this character [to the new game].
