During the latest meeting with investors, Remedy studio showed impressive financial results for the end of 2025 - revenue growth of more than 46%.
Although the remake of the Max Payne 1 & 2 duology is one of the studio's key projects and has been in production for more than a year and a half, fans have not yet seen any materials from the game. As Markus Maki from Remedy explained, the studio is working intensively, but Rockstar Games is in full control of the communication strategy.
This means that the Finnish developers cannot show results without the permission of the American publisher. The silence is likely due to the GTA VI schedule: Rockstar doesn't want the remake to distract from the flagship's promotion in the summer of 2026.
Given Remedy's pace of work and the time for beta testing, experts predict the release of Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake in the spring of 2027. The studio is currently focused on Control Resonant, with some resources being transferred to priority tasks.
Despite the lack of new footage, the project is financially stable and employs about 200 people. The next wave of official news is expected in early May along with the next business report.
