The expansion is not just a new class, but also a full-fledged update to the gaming experience, designed for both veterans of Sanctuary and those who return after years.
The main innovation is the Warlock, using three branches of forbidden magic. In the "Demon Lord" branch, the player subjugates hellish creatures and forms an army of servants. "Adept of otherworldly forces" allows you to turn weapons into an instrument of pure destruction. "Lord of Chaos" opens access to powerful ranged attacks based on fire, shadow, and the power of Hell. The class is designed with a focus on diverse builds — aggressive, tactical, and focused on battlefield control.
Reign of the Warlock also expands the endgame. New unique items, sets, and rune words have appeared, opening up opportunities for even more powerful builds. The introduced "Chronicle" allows you to track all the items you have obtained on your account, encouraging experimentation and collection — this is a solution for players who like to optimize characters.
Blizzard has also improved the convenience of the game. Custom loot filters reduce chaos on the screen and highlight the most valuable items. Updated stash tabs with separate sections for gems, materials, and runes simplify inventory management for multiple characters. It's still the same Diablo II, but in a more convenient form.
Serious changes have also affected the Terror Zones. Players have gained more control over battle locations and the pace of progression. Difficulty scaling has been reworked, and new mechanics encourage strategy and knowledge of the class. For the most experienced, the Ancients return — a difficult challenge that will test the group's preparation and the strength of the builds.
The game is also out on Steam. The price is 39.99 dollars/euros, 22 999 Kazakh tenge.
