Marvel Studios has released a trailer stylized as being from the 1980s for the fictional film "Wonder Man," which exists within the universe of the eponymous series on Disney+. The trailer is presented as an archival recording of a "cult" superhero hit starring actors Brent Willard and Jackie Kay.
In the series itself, this blockbuster becomes the starting point in the story of Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. According to the plot, his father takes him to the cinema to see a fantastic action movie about a superhero, and this impression shapes the boy's dream of becoming an actor.
Years later, the hero learns about the preparation of a modern reboot of "Wonder Man" and tries to get the main role.
The first season of "Wonder Man" is now fully available on Disney+. According to insiders, the studio is close to approving the second season.
