Recently, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 released a diary dedicated to the photo mode. Thanks to this feature, you can learn unpleasant details about cutscenes.

Dramatic moments begin to be perceived differently if players get the opportunity to look beyond the carefully constructed shots that the developers "don't want to show during normal gameplay."

Senior Gameplay Programmer Florian Torres explained that when creating the photo mode for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, they wanted to give players as much freedom as possible:

When we started working on the photo mode, our goal was to make as few restrictions as possible, and that's what I was responsible for in development: infinite camera distance, the ability to pass through objects, many customizable light sources, diverse (and sometimes strange) filters, and much more. Of course, this comes with certain difficulties, but in the end it gives players the opportunity to see much of what we wouldn't want to show during normal gameplay. The photo mode has become a kind of window behind the scenes — a way to peek into how cutscenes, environments, and even how we created the whole game are arranged.

As an example, the developers cited one of the cutscenes — behind the scenes you can see specific models:

Also, the developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 recalled the problems they faced during the development process. For example, testers noticed that the heads and torsos of characters can be deformed:
