The cast of the adaptation of the cult anime continues to expand.
According to Deadline, Jason Clarke, known for "Dynamite: A Tale of Two Wives" and the series "Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty," has been cast in the live-action adaptation of "Mobile Suit Gundam." Sydney Sweeney ("The White Lotus") and Noah Centineo ("To All the Boys I've Loved Before") previously joined the project.
Legendary is producing in partnership with Bandai Namco Filmworks. Jim Mickle, showrunner of "Sweet Tooth," is directing and writing the script. Centineo is also involved in the project as a producer, along with Enzo Marc.
According to Deadline, Netflix is being considered as the primary platform for release, but there has been no official confirmation from the streaming service or Legendary. The release date has also not been announced.
