Classic 2D ORPG Removed from Steam - Players Can Create Their Own Servers After Shutdown

Developers have heard the request of those who wanted to continue playing Orake Classic.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Orake Classic's release on Steam. Fan modders, who took control of the project several years ago, have announced plans to shut down the servers next month:

[...] We haven't been developing or releasing major updates for Orake for many years, and we believe it's time for Orake's story to come to an end. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has stayed with us despite all the difficulties associated with the change of ownership, and trusted us in the hope that we could bring the game to a better state. We hope that we have at least partially succeeded in this. When we took the game under our wing, we were just a group of players wanting to keep Orake alive so that others could continue to enjoy it. We managed to support the project for six years - thank you so much for your help in this!

Modders will release files and materials in the public domain that will allow players to launch their own server and continue the adventure in Orake Classic.

Orake Classic servers will be shut down on March 1. The developers intend to remove the game from Steam (it's free).
