Warner Bros. seems to be preparing for an early start to the promotional campaign amid competition with "Avengers: Doctor Doom."
Paul Atreides actor Timothée Chalamet stated that the first trailer for "Dune: Part Three" will be released "very soon." The actor mentioned this on the French show Quotidien, noting that he had already watched the trailer and was impressed.
Warner Bros. and Legendary have not yet disclosed details about the project. The film does not have an officially approved subtitle, the cast has only been partially confirmed, and almost no materials have been received from the set. At the same time, about ten months remain until the premiere.
Against this background, Chalamet's words can be regarded as a signal for the early start of a full-fledged marketing campaign. Usually, the studio begins promoting films in the series 90-100 days before release. However, in the case of the final part of the trilogy, Warner Bros. has reasons to act more actively.
"Dune: Part Three" will be released on December 18, 2026 — on the same date as "Avengers: Doctor Doom." The studio did not postpone the premiere, despite direct competition with a major Marvel release. The December confrontation has already received the unofficial name "Doonzday" by analogy with "Barbieheimer," when the simultaneous release of "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" increased interest in both films.
So far, statistics favor Marvel. According to December analytics for the USA, "Avengers: Doctor Doom" became the most anticipated film of 2026 with more than 10 million search queries, while "Dune: Part Three" ranks 22nd with about 400 thousand queries.
The premiere of "Dune: Part Three" is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
