The developers of Arc Raiders continue to reveal the new features of the Shrouded Sky update. They recently presented a teaser and talked about the content.
A new type of weather, Hurricane, will appear in Arc Raiders. It will affect the movement of players on the surface: it will accelerate with a tailwind, and in the opposite case, it will slow down and quickly deplete strength.
The influence of the "Hurricane" extends to throwing objects and other aspects of the gameplay, such as jumps or gas. Visibility on the map will be reduced.
The mechanics of "debris" raised by the hurricane will become a problem — the shield is not designed for such pressure and it "will glitch and spark when small objects hit it."
In the open space, this will lead to wear and tear on the shield and will make the player noticeable to others: "You will have to decide when to use the shield and when it will become a hindrance."
The hurricane will also reveal new stashes of the first wave.
The release of the Shrouded Sky update for Arc Raiders is scheduled for February 24.
