The cult franchise returns to screens with the participation of the author of NieR: Automata.

The first teaser for the new anime series based on "Evangelion" has appeared online. According to users, the video was first shown during the festival dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the franchise, after which it began to spread on the Internet. At the same time, there is no official publication on YouTube and other major platforms at the time of the material's release.

The teaser does not reveal the plot, timeline, or cast of characters. Only in the last seconds does a new Eva appear in the frame, resembling Eva-01, but with a slightly modified design. The rest of the video focuses on the atmosphere: viewers are shown the scenery of a destroyed world to an orchestral theme in the spirit of Keiichi Okabe's works from NieR: Automata, who is the composer of the new anime.

The new "Evangelion" anime was officially announced on February 23 as part of the anniversary event. Yoko Taro, the creator of the NieR franchise, is responsible for the script and composition. Kazuya Tsurumaki and Toko Yatabe, who worked on the "Evangelion" rebuild series, are announced as directors. Studio Khara and CloverWorks are in charge of production.

The release date has not yet been announced.

The video is available on Twitter/X or on Reddit.
