M.Video, citing ICMR (GfK-Rus) data, reports that 1.48 million game consoles were sold in Russia in 2025, totaling 27.3 billion rubles. This is the highest number of devices sold in the last five years.
Since 2020, the market has virtually doubled in volume: after a decline in 2022 due to logistics issues, sales quickly recovered, exceeding 1.4 million devices in 2023 amid normalized supplies, primarily of PlayStation 5. In 2024, demand remained at a comparable level, and in 2025, it reached a new peak.
In monetary terms, the dynamics were less stable: after a fall in 2022, revenue surged in 2023–2024, setting a record of 31.7 billion rubles, before decreasing to 27.3 billion rubles in 2025. The average console price fluctuated during this period: after a decrease in 2023 and an increase in 2024, it amounted to 18,500 rubles by the end of 2025.
In quantitative terms, Sony remains the leader in 2025, followed by Valve, with the SUP brand also in the top three. Microsoft dropped out of the top 3 in unit sales. In monetary terms, Sony retains the first place; Nintendo and Microsoft also hold a significant share due to the higher average price of their devices.
More than 60% of sales are in the budget segment, costing up to 4,500 rubles, while about 40% are in the mid-range and premium segments, including models priced over 48,000 rubles, indicating a combination of mass demand and interest in expensive solutions.
