Analytical company Sensor Tower has published its annual State of Gaming 2026 report on the state of the industry.
Despite the wave of layoffs and studio closures, the market continues to grow. In 2025, a total of 52 billion games were downloaded across all platforms. On mobile devices, an average of 95 thousand products were downloaded per minute. At the same time, revenue in the mobile segment increased by only 1% and reached $82 billion.
On PC and consoles, revenues increased by 13%, the number of downloads by 7%, and the number of new releases by 8.4%. The main contribution was made by AA and AAA segment publishers.
The best-selling game of the year on PC and consoles was Battlefield 6. It was followed by EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 26.
The most downloaded free-to-play game was Skate. The top also included Marvel Rivals, Delta Force, and Deadlock.
Among the indie hits, REPO and Peak led in sales.
