Those who like to leak information have encountered real problems.

miHoYo (HoYoverse) continues to combat leaks regarding Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and other games from the company.

It was recently reported that a group of insiders was arrested in Shanghai (China): three "enthusiasts" were actively publishing information online before official announcements. The data was extracted from test builds of the game. The publication was carried out without the permission of the copyright holder.

miHoYo's lawyers sent complaints about the insiders' publications, but they were systematically ignored, so the company eventually contacted the police.

Subsequently, one of the group members stated: "We are just enthusiasts, and we thought that if we deleted the video after a warning, everything would be fine."

Journalists reported that the materials on suspects Su and Wu, who are accused of copyright infringement, have already been transferred to the prosecutor's office for indictment.

In relation to the suspect Zhou, who is considered a key figure, the police have applied "measures of criminal procedural coercion." The investigation is ongoing.

This is not the first time that leaking information has turned into legal problems for Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail insiders. miHoYo's lawyers send out DMCA takedowns and try to reveal the identities of such "informants" in different regions.
