According to the developers, despite the team's "passion and hard work," the project failed to build a sustainable audience sufficient for long-term support of the game.
Before closing, Highguard will receive a final update, which will be released "today or tomorrow." It will add a new playable Guardian, a new weapon, an account level progression system, and skill trees.
