The game was released in January.
The free competitive shooter Highguard will be permanently shut down on March 12. This was announced by the development studio Wildlight Entertainment, thanking players for their support of the project, which started in January this year.
Today we are sharing some difficult news. We have made the decision to permanently close Highguard on March 12. Since launch, over 2 million players have entered the world of Highguard. You shared feedback, created content, and believed in what we were building. For that, we are sincerely grateful.
According to the developers, despite the team's "passion and hard work," the project failed to build a sustainable audience sufficient for long-term support of the game.
Before closing, Highguard will receive a final update, which will be released "today or tomorrow." It will add a new playable Guardian, a new weapon, an account level progression system, and skill trees.
