Sony Group Corp. appears to be drastically changing its strategy regarding PC releases. According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, the corporation no longer plans to release its key PlayStation 5 games on personal computers.
According to the report, in recent weeks, the PlayStation division has canceled plans to release projects such as Ghost of Yōtei and other games on PC. This means that upcoming titles like Wolverine will remain PS5 exclusives. Future releases in franchises like God of War and Ratchet & Clank are also in question.
At the same time, multiplayer projects will continue to be released outside the PlayStation ecosystem. Marathon and Marvel Tōkon are cited as examples.
It is reported that a PlayStation representative declined to comment on the change in strategy.
