In an interview at the Saturn Awards ceremony, actor Paul Bettany stated that he is not in talks to play Voldemort and has not received any offers from HBO. Thus, he denied the rumors that were actively discussed online after Cillian Murphy also distanced himself from participating in the project.
HBO is in no hurry to reveal the actor playing Voldemort. According to insiders, the studio has already found an actor who can voice the character in the first seasons, while the full appearance of the Dark Lord will take place later.
A similar approach was used in the original film series: Voldemort first appeared in full only in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
The premiere of the first season of the "Harry Potter" series is scheduled for the first half of 2027. The exact release date has not yet been revealed.
