At the Game Developers Conference 2026, Microsoft told developers that in the future the best way to "make games for Xbox" is to "make them for PC".
Xbox Vice President Jason Ronald also spoke about another step aimed at closer integration of the console ecosystem with PC. According to him, the Xbox FSE (Full Screen Experience) interface, which is already used in ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X portable devices, will begin to be rolled out to all Windows 11 devices as early as April 2026. First, the function will appear in certain regions, after which it will be launched globally.
This interface will allow players to "seamlessly switch between work and play", getting a full-screen Xbox experience optimized for the controller, while maintaining the openness of the Windows ecosystem.
