Recently, the localizers from SynthVoiceRu presented a Russian voiceover for Mafia III: Definitive Edition, created using AI technologies.
For now, an "alpha version" is available. SynthVoiceRu talked about the difficulties and current problems:
The quality of the voiceover is low. Without cutscenes and only voice-over. The game is difficult to parse, so we are posting the version of the voiceover that we managed to make.
Judging by the comments, some players were satisfied with this quality of the Russian voiceover for Mafia III: Definitive Edition.
@Borekinto expressed the idea that "Voice-over is the most ideal option for AI", because "you understand what is being said and the lack of naturalness [is compensated by] the original voice".
