Disney reminded about the upcoming release of a new animated project on "Star Wars".
The premiere of the series «Star Wars: Darth Maul – Lord of the Shadows» is just around the corner. Disney continues to fuel interest and has released a new teaser, focusing on short action scenes.
The plot unfolds after the events of «The Clone Wars». Having lost influence and out of the game, Maul tries to restore his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There he meets the disillusioned Padawan Devon Izaru and takes her as a student to use for his own purposes.
The main role is once again voiced by Sam Witwer. He also participated in the revision of the script to reveal the character more deeply. The cast includes Gideon Adlon, Wagner Moura, Richard Ayoade and Dennis Haysbert.
The premiere will take place on Disney+. The series starts with two episodes, then new episodes will be released two per week. The season finale will be released on May 4.
Earlier, the animated series was already renewed for a second season even before the premiere, which indirectly indicates the studio's confidence in the project.
