Studio Bones and Hiromu Arakawa are back with a new story about twins with unusual abilities.

On April 4, the anime "Tsugai of the Underworld" (Daemons of the Shadow Realm), based on the manga of the same name by Hiromu Arakawa, the author of "Fullmetal Alchemist," premiered.

The story tells about the twins Yuru and Asa, who were separated in childhood. Years later, they try to find each other and gradually reveal the secret of their origin. The heroes are able to control supernatural pairs called tsugai, and their fate is connected with this power.

The production is handled by Studio Bones, known for "Fullmetal Alchemist," "Mob Psycho 100," "My Hero Academia," and other projects. Masahiro Ando ("Sword of the Stranger") directed. Noboru Takagi ("Golden Kamuy") wrote the script, Nobuhiro Arai ("Bungo Stray Dogs") was responsible for the character design, and Kenichiro Suehiro ("Fire Force") was responsible for the music.

The exact number of episodes has not yet been revealed. According to various sources, the first season may include from 12 to 24 episodes, which will be released weekly.
