After the appearance of footage from the set, journalists tried to clarify the situation.
The day before, footage from the alleged set of the Elden Ring movie appeared online. They show decorations, including a statue of Marika and ruins reminiscent of locations from the game. After that, a World of Reel journalist clarified the status of production with his sources and received an answer that filming should begin as early as next week.
The film is being developed by A24 in collaboration with Bandai Namco, with Alex Garland as director. The project was originally promoted by the director himself: he prepared a detailed script and personally presented the idea to Hidetaka Miyazaki, receiving approval for the adaptation.
According to preliminary information, the main roles may be played by Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw and Kaylee Spaeny, but the official cast has not yet been confirmed. The project also does not even have an approximate release window — the creators are in no hurry to share details.
