"Star Wars: Darth Maul: Apprentice" Receives Perfect Rating on Rotten Tomatoes - Critics and Viewers Delighted

The new animated series based on "Star Wars" has started with a rare unanimous reception for the franchise.

The animated series "Star Wars: Darth Maul: Apprentice" has launched on Disney+ with the highest possible rating on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of publication, the project has 100% "freshness" based on the first reviews from critics and 95% positive ratings from viewers.

Viewers have so far received only two episodes, while critics have been shown eight out of ten episodes of the first season. Based on these, the show is already being called one of the most successful animated projects based on "Star Wars" in recent years.

Journalists note a darker and more mature tone and consider the project closer to "Andor" than to other animated projects in the franchise. Reviews highlight the harsh battle scenes, philosophical dialogues about the Force, and the development of Maul's character, who appears not only as a warrior but also as a calculating criminal leader. The visual style, combining 3D animation with stylized "glass painting," is also praised.

The plot unfolds after the events of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and Order 66, when Darth Maul tries to restore his influence and rebuild his criminal empire.

New episodes will be released two per week. The season finale will take place on May 4.
