Netflix has revealed a teaser for the third season of the live-action series "One Piece" and confirmed its release in 2027. The sequel is subtitled "Battle for Alabasta" and will adapt the Alabasta arc — the eleventh story arc of Eiichiro Oda's manga.
The story will focus on Luffy and the Straw Hat crew's journey to the kingdom of Alabasta, which is engulfed in an impending civil war. Crocodile and his organization, Baroque Works, are behind the events, seeking to seize power. The heroes will have to intervene and stop the catastrophe.
Filming for the third season began back in November 2025, which should shorten the gap between releases.
In parallel, Netflix announced a LEGO special that will retell the events of the first two seasons in a light and ironic form and prepare viewers for the sequel.
We also remind you that the original anime returned to the air on April 5 and switched to an updated release model: now the series are released in blocks of 26 episodes per year, which should even out the pace of the narrative.
