Prime Video showed Homelander's journey from hero to dictator in a new video.
A new video dedicated to Homelander from The Boys series has been released on the Prime Video YouTube channel. The three-minute video is compiled from key scenes from all four seasons and leads up to the final chapter, which starts on April 8.
The video is structured as an internal monologue of the character. Homelander addresses himself and speaks about his own traumas, emphasizing that he has remained in isolation: he has been rejected by allies, former partners, and even his own son. At the same time, he still depends on the need for love and recognition, which means he remains vulnerable. To gain strength, he abandons the remnants of humanity and focuses on his own greatness, power, and exclusivity.
The official synopsis states that in the final chapter, Homelander finally consolidates power and subjugates society to his will. Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), and Frenchie (Tomer Capone) find themselves in the "Liberty" camp, while Annie (Erin Moriarty) tries to gather resistance. Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) is missing, and Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who has returned, intends to use a virus that can destroy all supers. This decision triggers a chain of events that could change the world.
The finale of Homelander's story in The Boys will be known on May 20, when the eighth episode of the season is released.
