Sea of Stars to be released on mobile without DLC and co-op - Playdigious reveals features of the port

Publisher Playdigious has revealed new details about the mobile version of Sea of Stars, which will be released on iOS and Android on April 7. As it turned out, at the start the port will remain without some of the content already familiar to players on PC and consoles.

The FAQ states that the mobile version will not include the Throes of the Watchmaker DLC and co-op at release. The publisher does not say when they might appear, which indirectly indicates the absence of a clear development plan after release. If the situation changes, it will be announced separately.

Sea of Stars was originally released in August 2023 on PC and consoles and received high marks from critics and players. The project is inspired by classic 90s JRPGs, including Chrono Trigger, and Yasunori Mitsuda participated in the soundtrack.

The game tells the story of two Children of the Solstice who combine the powers of the sun and moon to confront evil. Players will find turn-based battles with timing elements, world exploration without random encounters, puzzles, a main plot lasting about 50 hours, and extensive side content.

The smartphone version will receive a redesigned touch interface, gamepad support, and cloud saves. The game's page in the App Store also indicates support for the Russian language, although it will not be possible to officially buy the game in Russia — you will have to look for workarounds.
