Next year, the "Up. Inside. Down" expansion for the "Shackleton Base. Journey to the Moon" board game should reach users from Russia. It will add three new corporations to the project - Lunar City, Undermoon, and Zenith Works.
The publishing house 4ies (4Games) has announced the start of pre-orders for the "Up. Inside. Down" expansion for the "Shackleton Base. Journey to the Moon" board game. It can now be purchased for 2994 rubles.
The expansion introduces players to a new agency leader from India and three new corporations — Lunar City, Undermoon, and Zenith Works.
Lunar City hires residents with limited skills. This hurts reputation, but opens up additional resources, credits, and corporate tokens. The more residents players deliver to the Moon, the more ambitious their goals become.
Undermoon lays tunnels under existing structures. Drilling progress opens up new halls, but causes faults. Sectors near them are blocked — without resources and credits. Cosmonauts come to the rescue on cleanup: instead of activating the sector, they take a fault token and bring reputation points.
At Zenith Works, everything is decided by blueprints. Players have to build floors, strictly observing the rule: the lower structure must be larger than the upper one. Restaurants, warehouses, multifunctional centers — vertical development becomes the key to victory.
The delivery of the "Up. Inside. Down" expansion is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 2027. It is worth noting that it does not include the base game "Shackleton Base. Journey to the Moon".
