Recently, leaks began to emerge claiming that the developers of Genshin Impact are planning to add Snezhnaya to the game earlier than previously believed. Allegedly, miHoYo (HoYoverse) will skip version 6.8 and move more quickly to the 7.x update line.
It seems these reports are starting to be confirmed. At the end of April, the creators of Genshin Impact published a teaser for the presentation "To Snezhnaya and the Future" and addressed the community:

So far, the Genshin Impact developers have not gone into details. It is expected that they will talk about the new region itself — Snezhnaya — and share information about the process of working on the locations (sources of inspiration, design decisions, and so on).
The miHoYo presentation will be available on the developers' YouTube and Twitch channel. The stream is scheduled to begin on April 24 at 15:00 Moscow time.
The release of Genshin Impact update 6.7 may take place around early July; in that case, the notional update 7.0, which will add Snezhnaya to the game, could be released in August 2026.
