It has become known that Benoit Richer, recently appointed game director of Assassin's Creed Hexe, has left Ubisoft and moved to Servo Games. The reasons for his departure have not been disclosed at this time. Richer is known for his work on Batman: Arkham Origins, as well as the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla expansions — Wrath of the Druids, Dawn of Ragnarok, and The Siege of Paris.
This is not the first loss of key developers for Hexe in recent times. Earlier, creative director Clint Hocking, a Ubisoft veteran who worked on Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Far Cry 2, and Watch Dogs: Legion, left the project. He was replaced by Jean Guesdon, the current head of content for the Assassin’s Creed brand. Even earlier, level design director Luc Couture left the company.
There are still extremely few details about Assassin’s Creed Hexe. It is known that the game will be the next main installment in the series and will be devoted to witch hunts in 16th-century Germany.
