Teaser for the new Arc Raiders map from the Riven Tides update sparks fan theory about game lore
Not only a new map, but also a new ARC robot should appear in Arc Raiders soon.
The developers of Arc Raiders continue to tease a new map from the upcoming Riven Tides update. A recent video showed a selection of shots: you can see an area with many containers, a piece of a hotel, and other locations.
ThatARCGuy has a theory that could connect the game's lore:
Do we know who is behind the camera? Is it Bilguun? He was absent from early game content. It's possible he was sent on a reconnaissance mission – this could tie some lore elements together. Or maybe I just missed something.
The Riven Tides update for Arc Raiders is scheduled for release on April 28, 2026. According to the roadmap, a large ARC robot and a new map condition should also be added to the game.
An Expedition (a local voluntary wipe) with new rules will also start, and the challenge system is also expected to undergo major changes – developers will abandon bonus accrual for active map conditions and update the list of weekly challenges.
