Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader received an update with optimization improvements on Switch 2, but players still complain about issues
Some dissatisfied players are considering switching to the PC version of the cRPG.
In April, Owlcat Games returned to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and released an update for the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
The developers stated that update 1.5.1.2 is dedicated to optimization improvements and more:
This update is entirely focused on optimization, performance improvements, and crash fixes. If you experience any issues after the update, please try reinstalling the game completely, and contact us if the problem persists even after that. Depending on the region, the patch may take several hours to appear. Thank you for your patience, we apologize for the delay, and we wish you a pleasant game!
Players who tried the updated version of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, such as D3f1N0, reported that technical issues still persist:
Even with this update, the game is still not up to par — there are FPS drops, screen freezes, and the game hangs for a long time during autosaves. I even lost the combat interface, which forced me to restart the game. Shadows flicker and behave unpredictably… it's only been 30 minutes, and I'm already fed up. I'm going back to PC, since Nintendo doesn't allow refunds… By the way, the "blur" effect can be removed — disable anti-aliasing, the game looks better that way.
