Interface without rules: in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, players will be given full control
Ubisoft has shown a redesigned interface that has become cleaner, more contextual, and fully customizable, just like in Assassin's Creed Shadows. The player chooses the amount of information on the screen.
Interface elements now appear only when necessary – weapon selection, combat indicators, health. Everything can be turned on and off.
HUD presets:
- Default – most elements are enabled, maximum hints and combat information.
- Simple – simplified interface with basic hints.
- Minimal – only health, interactions, and aiming on the ship.
- Disabled – almost complete absence of interface.
Manual customization of each element is also available: blood effects, VFX, notifications.
Examples:
- In combat, you can leave parrying and remove health bars later.
- In stealth, leave only the visibility indicator.
- In naval battles – only cannon aiming.
In combat, enemy health and defense are displayed. Defense is broken by parries and attacks, opening up finishers. Different enemies have different resilience. When defense is broken, the enemy's headwear falls off – a visual cue.
Experienced players can disable the interface and navigate by animations. At the same time, the game remains an action-adventure without levels and equipment.
The developers advise starting with Default or Simple and gradually customizing the interface. Additional details are promised in May.
