Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick admitted he is "deeply disappointed" with the situation surrounding BioShock 4. The game's development was officially announced back in 2019, but since then, players have not been shown any gameplay.

It has been 13 years since BioShock Infinite was released. According to Zelnick, as the head of the company, he is not surprised by what is happening, as he monitors the production process, but the absence of a finished result after so many years causes him strong frustration.

The head of the GTA 6 publisher also criticized the work of Cloud Chamber studio. He stated that the company spent huge amounts of money and years of development on creative ideas that ultimately proved to be dead ends.

Zelnick noted that the team found it difficult to find the right approach to such a large franchise. He compared creating the game to producing a major film, where the final look of the project is formed only in the later stages, and the process itself requires a lot of time and money.

Despite the problems and a change in studio leadership last year, Zelnick now feels “much better” about the project's future. Rod Fergusson, known for the Diablo and Gears of War series, became the new head of the franchise. 2K added that the team already has a “good game,” but the studio's goal is to release an outstanding project.
