Recently, Helldivers 2 fans have been actively criticizing the developers. They are urging them to adjust the balance, fix various bugs, and improve optimization.
Arrowhead Game Studios reviewed the feedback and addressed the community:
To our loyal citizens of Super Earth. We have been closely monitoring your feedback over the past few days and have seen the discussions within the community. Helldivers 2 is important to all of us, and we want to be clearer about what we are currently working on and what we plan next. In addition to developing new content, we are focused on improving the core of the game — stability, progression, and the Galactic War.
Helldivers 2 developers are going to improve meta-progression and the Galactic War:
We have significantly expanded the team working in this area, as these long-term systems are crucial for the overall gameplay experience.
Plans include: more meaningful rewards and a collective progression system, evolving major orders into longer, multi-week themed “campaigns,” and branching outcomes for in-game events (the result will depend on player actions). According to the creators of Helldivers 2, players will be able to see the first results of the work this summer.
The developers also noted that they aim to release updates more frequently and share information more actively with the community. In the “near future,” special attention will be paid to improvements in technology and performance, balance, and character development (plans include increasing damage up to 150 and new red stratagems, ship upgrades).
