Online indie horror R.E.P.O. increased several times after the release of a "cosmetic" update
Players are returning to R.E.P.O. to check out new content and character customizations.
The developers of the co-op horror R.E.P.O. released a major update v0.4.0 The Cosmetic Update in May, which expands players' options for personalizing their characters.
Recently, the game's online presence, depending on the time of day, was at the level of 12 – 34 thousand users, but after the update's release, players began to actively log into R.E.P.O. Gradually, the online count increased to 70+ thousand, and this weekend it surpassed 114 thousand players.
On Steam, there's a surge of positive reviews, but also negative ones — authors of such reviews urge developers to fix bugs, complain about technical issues, and the behavior of team members (some people behave not very well):
With this update, the creators of R.E.P.O. added over 500 cosmetic items for character personalization, a new game mode "King of The Losers", items, and an improved map. The developers also fixed various bugs.
